Large Burmese Chin Blanket Throw, 170cm x 107cm.
A very unusual and scarce fabric to see in the Western world. This is a hand-woven and hand-embroidered cotton fabric of considerable size. It has been made by the Chin people who live in Chin State in Western Burma. The pure cotton is handspun and the textile is woven on a back strap loom.
The patterns and motifs reflect Chin culture and the environment.
A really fabulous item.
Size: Approx 170cm long x 107cm high, excluding the tassles.
